Bio
Elliot John Gleave, known professionally as Example, is a British singer, songwriter, rapper and producer born on 20 June 1982. He rose to prominence in the late 2000s with a series of mixtapes and singles that blended hip-hop, grime and electronic music. His breakthrough came with the 2010 single "Kickstarts," which reached the UK top three and established his signature style of melodic rap verses over dance beats. Example has released seven studio albums, including the platinum-certified Playing in the Shadows (2011) and the chart-topping #Hits (2013). His work has earned multiple Brit Award nominations and collaborations with artists such as Calvin Harris, Wretch 32 and Ed Sheeran. Beyond music, he has hosted radio shows and appeared on television, maintaining a presence in both the UK and international markets.
