Bio
Tim Rice is an English lyricist and author born in Buckinghamshire in 1944. He is best known for his collaborations with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber on musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Evita. Rice has also worked with other composers including Elton John, Alan Menken, and Björn Ulvaeus, contributing lyrics to stage shows and films including The Lion King and Aladdin. His work has earned him multiple awards, including three Academy Awards, four Tony Awards, and multiple Grammy Awards.
