Bio
John Rutter is an English composer, conductor, arranger and producer whose career has been devoted to choral music. Born in London in 1945, he studied at Clare College, Cambridge, where he later served as director of music and founded the Cambridge Singers. His compositions range from large-scale works such as the Requiem and Gloria to numerous carols, anthems and hymn arrangements that have become staples of the Christmas repertoire worldwide. Rutter continues to conduct, record and publish through his own Collegium label, maintaining an international presence as one of the most frequently performed living choral composers.
