Bio

Charles M. Njapa, known professionally as 88-Keys, is an American record producer and rapper born March 3, 1976, in Long Island City, New York. He first gained recognition in the late 1990s and early 2000s for his production work with artists such as Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Kanye West. In 2008 he released his debut studio album, The Death of Adam, which featured collaborations with Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Bilal. Beyond production, 88-Keys has continued to release music and remains active in the hip-hop community.
