Bio
Francesco De Gregori (born 4 April 1951) is an Italian singer-songwriter whose work has shaped the cantautore tradition since the early 1970s. Born in Rome, he first gained attention with introspective, poetic songs that blended folk, rock, and literary influences. His breakthrough albums, including "Rimmel" (1975) and "Bufalo Bill" (1976), established him as a major figure in Italian music. Over five decades he has continued to release critically regarded records, often exploring social and political themes while maintaining a distinctive, understated vocal style.
