Chad Kroeger is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and guitarist best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the rock band Nickelback. Born in Hanna, Alberta, in 1974, he co-founded the band in the mid-1990s and has remained its frontman through multiple platinum-selling albums. Kroeger is recognized for his distinctive raspy voice and has also pursued solo projects and collaborations outside Nickelback.
