Eartha Kitt was an American singer, actress, and cabaret performer known for her distinctive voice and sultry stage presence. Born in North, South Carolina, she rose to fame in the 1950s with hits such as "Santa Baby" and "C'est si bon." Beyond music, she appeared in films, television, and on Broadway, most notably as Catwoman in the 1960s series Batman. Throughout her six-decade career, Kitt remained a prominent figure in entertainment and an outspoken advocate for social causes. She continued performing and recording until her death in 2008, leaving behind a legacy celebrated for both her artistic versatility and her commitment to civil rights and humanitarian efforts.
