Shaggy

Orville Richard Burrell, known professionally as Shaggy, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer born in Kingston in 1968. He rose to international fame in the mid-1990s with the hit single "Boombastic" and the multi-platinum album of the same name. His 2000 single "It Wasn't Me" topped charts worldwide and earned him a Grammy for Best Reggae Album. Shaggy blends dancehall, reggae, and pop with humorous, party-oriented lyrics and has collaborated with artists including Sting, Akon, and Ne-Yo. He has released over a dozen studio albums and remains one of the most commercially successful Jamaican artists outside the island.
