Scarlxrd is a British rapper and musician from Wolverhampton, England. He began his career in 2011 as a YouTuber and vlogger before transitioning to music in 2014. Scarlxrd gained international recognition with his 2017 album "Cabin Fever" and the viral single "Heart Attack," which helped popularize the trap metal genre. His sound blends aggressive trap beats with heavy metal influences, characterized by screamed vocals and dark, intense production. He has released over a dozen projects including "Dxxm," "Lxrdszn," and "Acquired Taste: Vxl. 1," and has collaborated with artists such as Ghostemane and ZillaKami.
