Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter from Lagos. He rose to prominence with his 2011 debut album Superstar and the international hit "Essence" featuring Tems. His sound blends afrobeats, pop, R&B and dancehall, and he has collaborated with Drake, Beyoncé, Burna Boy and Major Lazer. Wizkid was the first African artist to headline London's Wireless Festival and has won multiple BET, MOBO and Grammy awards. He founded Starboy Entertainment and remains one of the leading voices in global Afrobeats.
