The Tymes

The Tymes are an American R&B vocal group formed in Philadelphia in the late 1950s. Originally known as the Latineers, they scored their first major hit in 1963 with the doo-wop ballad "So Much in Love," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The group, led by George Williams, specialized in smooth vocal harmonies and later transitioned into the Philly soul sound of the 1970s. They achieved further success with the 1974 single "You Little Trustmaker," which peaked at number 12 on the Hot 100. The Tymes maintained a presence on the soul charts through the decade with polished productions and continued performing into later years.
