He first gained attention as the frontman of the synth-pop band Years & Years, whose debut album Communion reached number one in the UK. Alexander’s solo work blends dance-pop, synth-pop and electronic influences, highlighted by the 2024 album Polari. He has collaborated with artists including Kylie Minogue and MNEK, and represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Alexander is also known for acting roles in the television series Skins and It’s a Sin.
