The Jacksons

The Jacksons are an American R&B and pop group from Gary, Indiana, originally formed in 1964 as The Jackson 5. After early success on Motown with hits like “I Want You Back” and “ABC,” the group signed with Epic Records in 1976 and rebranded as The Jacksons. They achieved further commercial success with albums such as Destiny (1978) and Triumph (1980), and the single “Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground).” The lineup has included brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael Jackson, with Randy later replacing Jermaine. Their sound blends funk, soul, and pop with tight harmonies and dance-oriented production.
