Cilla Black

Cilla Black was an English singer, television presenter and actress born Priscilla Maria Veronica White in Liverpool in 1943. She rose to fame in the 1960s with hits produced by George Martin and became one of the most successful British female artists of the decade. Her powerful voice and upbeat pop-soul style earned her chart-topping singles such as “Anyone Who Had a Heart” and “You’re My World.” She later hosted long-running ITV shows including “Blind Date” and “Surprise Surprise,” extending her career into television. Black remained a beloved national figure until her death in 2015.
