Joe Keery, known professionally as Djo, is an American musician and actor from Massachusetts. He rose to prominence playing Steve Harrington on the Netflix series Stranger Things while simultaneously developing his music career. Djo blends psych-pop, indie rock, and synth-driven sounds, releasing his debut album Twenty Twenty in 2019 and the breakthrough DECIDE in 2022, which spawned the viral hit "End of Beginning." His work is characterized by dreamy melodies, introspective lyrics, and retro-futuristic production. He maintains a DIY ethos, often self-producing and releasing music independently.
