Anitta

Anitta is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and dancer born Larissa de Macedo Machado in Rio de Janeiro in 1993. She began her career in the Brazilian funk scene and rose to national prominence with the 2013 single “Show das Poderosas.” Anitta has since become one of Brazil’s most successful pop exports, blending funk carioca, reggaeton, and mainstream pop while collaborating with artists such as J Balvin, Maluma, and Madonna. She signed with Warner Music in 2013 and later launched her own imprint, Rodamoinho, under the major. Her 2022 album Versions of Me and the global hit “Envolver” made her the first Brazilian artist to top Spotify’s global daily chart. Anitta is known for her multilingual releases in Portuguese, Spanish, and English and for her strong presence on social media.
