About
The Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia is a professional choral ensemble founded in 1982 and based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Under founding artistic director Matthew Glandorf and later David Hayes, the group presents an annual concert series of major choral-orchestral works and commissions new music. It regularly collaborates with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, and other regional ensembles, and has appeared at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. The chorus is known for its polished, versatile sound across repertoire from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works and has released several recordings on independent labels.
