Sweet

Sweet is a British glam rock band formed in London in 1968. Originally known as Sweetshop, the group rose to fame in the early 1970s with a string of hits produced by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman. Their sound blended catchy pop hooks with hard rock energy, exemplified by singles like "Ballroom Blitz," "Fox on the Run," and "Love Is Like Oxygen." The classic lineup featured Brian Connolly, Steve Priest, Andy Scott, and Mick Tucker. After Connolly's departure in 1979 the band continued with varying lineups, releasing further albums into the 1980s and maintaining a cult following. Their influence on glam and power-pop remains notable.
