MC Fr da Norte

MC Fr da Norte is a Brazilian funk carioca artist from the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. He emerged in the mid-2010s within the local proibidão and ostentação scenes, releasing tracks on YouTube and SoundCloud that quickly circulated in Rio’s bailes funk. His style blends heavy 150 BPM beats, explicit lyrics, and melodic refrains typical of contemporary funk carioca. Notable releases include the 2017 single “Bonde do 171” and later collaborations with producers from the Complexo do Alemão and Jacarezinho communities. He remains active in the independent Rio funk circuit with frequent live appearances at community parties and online releases.
