Kenshi Yonezu

Kenshi Yonezu is a Japanese singer-songwriter, musician, and illustrator from Tokushima Prefecture. He began releasing music online in 2009 under the name Hachi before transitioning to a major-label career in 2012. His work spans J-pop, rock, and electronic styles, often featuring intricate production and introspective lyrics. Yonezu gained widespread recognition with the 2013 single "Santa Maria" and later achieved mainstream success with tracks such as "Lemon" and "Peace Sign," the latter serving as an opening theme for the anime My Hero Academia. He has composed and performed numerous anime and film soundtracks, collaborating with artists including Hikaru Utada and Yoasobi. Yonezu is also known for his visual art, frequently creating his own album artwork and music videos.
