Pritam

Pritam Chakraborty is an Indian composer, singer and music producer who rose to prominence in the Bollywood film industry in the mid-2000s. Born in Kolkata, he began his career assisting composers Anu Malik and Nadeem–Shravan before scoring his first major hit with the soundtrack for the 2004 film Dhoom. He has since composed music for more than 125 feature films, collaborating with lyricists such as Irshad Kamil, Amitabh Bhattacharya and Javed Akhtar. His work spans contemporary Bollywood pop, electronic dance, folk-infused ballads and orchestral scores, and he is known for hits such as “Tum Se Hi,” “Gerua,” “Kesariya” and “Shayad.” Pritam has received multiple National Film Awards and Filmfare Awards for Best Music Director.
