Shenseea is a Jamaican dancehall and reggae singer born in Kingston in 1996. She rose to prominence with the 2016 single “Loodi” featuring Vybz Kartel and signed with Interscope Records in 2020. Her debut album Alpha (2022) blended dancehall with pop and hip-hop, featuring Drake on “IDKW.” Shenseea has collaborated with Major Lazer, Megan Thee Stallion, and Sean Paul, and is known for her sharp lyricism and genre-crossing sound. She continues to release singles and perform internationally while maintaining strong ties to Jamaican dancehall culture.
