Halid Bešlić

Halid Bešlić is a Bosnian folk and pop singer from Knežina near Sokolac, born in 1953. He rose to prominence in the 1980s with emotionally charged ballads and turbo-folk hits that defined the Yugoslav music scene. His warm baritone and themes of love, homeland, and everyday life made him one of the most beloved artists across the Balkans. Over four decades he has released more than twenty studio albums, with signature tracks such as “Miljacka,” “Vraćam se na Bosnu,” and “Prvi poljubac.” Bešlić continues to perform sold-out concerts throughout the region and maintains a strong following among the Bosnian diaspora.
