Tim Bergling, known professionally as Avicii, was a Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer from Stockholm. He rose to prominence in 2011 with the hit single “Levels” and achieved global success with his 2013 debut album True, which blended EDM with folk and country influences. Avicii collaborated with artists including Aloe Blacc, Rita Ora, and Madonna, and headlined major festivals worldwide. He released the follow-up album Stories in 2015 before retiring from live touring in 2016 due to health issues. Avicii posthumously released the album Tim in 2019 following his death in 2018. His work helped popularize progressive house and future bass sounds in mainstream pop.
