Icona Pop is a Swedish electropop duo formed in Stockholm in 2009 by Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo. They gained international attention with the 2012 single “I Love It,” which became a global hit and was later featured in the TV series Girls. Their sound blends dance-pop, electropop and synth-driven club music with punk attitude and catchy hooks. The duo released their debut album Icona Pop in 2012, followed by This Is... Icona Pop in 2013. They have collaborated with artists including Charli XCX, Ty Dolla $ign and Jillionaire, and continue to release singles and perform worldwide.
