Dope

Dope is an American heavy metal band formed in 1997 in New York City by frontman Edsel Dope. The group emerged from the late-90s industrial and nu-metal scenes, blending aggressive riffs with electronic elements and rap-infused vocals. They gained early attention with their 1999 debut album Felons and Revolutionaries, which featured the single “Die MF Die.” Subsequent releases like Life, American Apathy, and Blood Money Part 1 maintained their raw, confrontational sound while expanding their catalog across labels such as Reprise and eOne. The band has toured extensively and maintained a dedicated fanbase through consistent output and festival appearances.
