Gokh-Bi System is a Senegalese mbalax and afrobeat group formed in Dakar. The band blends traditional Wolof rhythms with funk, jazz, and reggae influences, creating a high-energy dance sound rooted in Senegalese culture. They gained recognition in the 1990s and 2000s through live performances across West Africa and Europe, releasing several albums on independent labels. Their music often features call-and-response vocals, sabar drums, and socially conscious lyrics.
