Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, known professionally as Kygo, is a Norwegian DJ and record producer born in 1991 in Bergen. He rose to prominence in 2013 with his tropical house remix of Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire" and achieved global success in 2015 with "Firestone" featuring Conrad Sewell. Kygo is credited with popularizing the tropical house subgenre and has collaborated with artists including Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and Whitney Houston. His debut album Cloud Nine (2016) reached number one in Norway and produced multiple international hits. Subsequent releases include Kids in Love (2017), Golden Hour (2020), and Thrill of the Chase (2021). Kygo has headlined major festivals and maintains a residency at the Ushuaïa nightclub in Ibiza.
