Macklemore

Macklemore is an American rapper and songwriter from Seattle, Washington. He first gained attention in the Pacific Northwest hip-hop scene before achieving mainstream success with producer Ryan Lewis. Their 2012 album The Heist and singles "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us" topped charts worldwide. Known for socially conscious lyrics and eclectic production, Macklemore has explored themes of addiction, consumerism, and LGBTQ+ rights. He has collaborated with artists including Kesha, Ed Sheeran, and Eric Nally. His follow-up album This Unruly Mess I've Made and later solo projects continued his blend of pop-rap and introspective storytelling.
