Lalo Schifrin

Lalo Schifrin is an Argentine pianist, composer, and conductor born in Buenos Aires. He studied classical piano and composition before moving to the United States, where he gained prominence in jazz and film scoring. Schifrin is best known for composing the "Mission: Impossible" theme and scores for films including "Bullitt," "Dirty Harry," and "Cool Hand Luke." His work blends jazz, Latin rhythms, and orchestral writing, and he has collaborated with Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has received multiple Grammy and Academy Award nominations and continues to compose and conduct worldwide.
