Giveon is an American R&B singer and songwriter from Long Beach, California. He rose to prominence in 2020 with his feature on Drake’s “Chicago Freestyle” and his debut EP Take Time, which reached the top ten on the Billboard 200. His deep baritone and cinematic, slow-tempo ballads define a modern soul sound influenced by 90s R&B. Giveon’s 2022 debut album Give or Take further established him with singles such as “Heartbreak Anniversary” and “For Tonight.” He has collaborated with artists including Drake, Justin Bieber, and Snoh Aalegra, and is signed to Epic Records and his own imprint Not So Fast.
