Lil Jon

Jonathan Smith, known professionally as Lil Jon, is an American rapper, record producer, and DJ from Atlanta, Georgia. He rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s as the frontman of Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz, pioneering the crunk subgenre of hip-hop with high-energy party anthems. His breakthrough album Kings of Crunk (2002) featured the hit single "Get Low," which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Lil Jon has produced and collaborated with artists including Usher, Pitbull, LMFAO, and Diplo, and his signature ad-libs and production style became ubiquitous in early 2000s club music. He has won multiple Grammy Awards, including Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Yeah!" with Usher and Ludacris. Beyond music, he has appeared on reality television and launched ventures in beverage and apparel.
