Américo Young

Américo Young is a Uruguayan singer-songwriter from Montevideo. He began releasing music in the mid-2010s and built a following with introspective Spanish-language songs that blend indie pop, folk and electronic textures. His 2018 single “Caminar” and the 2020 EP “Luz” established his reputation in the local scene, leading to collaborations with Uruguayan producers and appearances at regional festivals. Young writes, records and produces most of his material himself, favoring minimal arrangements and intimate vocal delivery. He remains active in the independent Uruguayan circuit and continues to issue singles on streaming platforms.
