Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is an American singer, songwriter, actress and producer from Houston, Texas. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as lead singer of Destiny's Child before launching a solo career in 2003 with Dangerously in Love. Her work spans R&B, pop, hip-hop and soul, marked by powerful vocals, intricate choreography and concept albums. Highlights include the self-titled visual album Beyoncé (2013), Lemonade (2016) and Renaissance (2022). She has collaborated with Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd, and won 32 Grammy Awards. She founded Parkwood Entertainment and remains one of the best-selling artists worldwide.
