Haruma Sato is a Japanese cellist born in 1997. He studied at the Toho Gakuen School of Music and later at the Kronberg Academy in Germany under Frans Helmerson. Sato gained international attention after winning first prize at the 2019 Queen Elisabeth Cello Competition in Brussels. He performs widely as a soloist with orchestras across Europe and Asia and appears regularly at major festivals.
