Jennie Kim, known professionally as JENNIE, is a South Korean singer, rapper and actress born in Seoul. She rose to fame as a member of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, debuting with the group in 2016 under YG Entertainment. In 2018 she released her debut solo single "Solo," which topped the Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard World Digital Song Sales. Her 2023 single album RUBY featured the global hit "You & Me" and showcased a blend of hip-hop, dance-pop and R&B. Jennie has also acted in the HBO series The Idol and maintains an active solo career alongside BLACKPINK activities.
