Peso Pluma

Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, known professionally as Peso Pluma, is a Mexican singer and rapper from Guadalajara, Jalisco. He rose to prominence in 2022–2023 with the regional Mexican wave known as corridos tumbados, blending traditional corridos with trap and urban production. His breakthrough came via collaborations with Natanael Cano and the viral single “El Belicón,” followed by the global hit “Ella Baila Sola” with Eslabon Armado. Peso Pluma’s 2023 debut major-label album Génesis topped the Billboard 200 and established him as the leading figure of the new Mexican urban-regional sound. He is signed to Double P Records, his own imprint distributed through Warner Music Latina.
