Los Tigres del Norte

Los Tigres del Norte are a norteño band formed in 1968 in Rosa Morada, Sinaloa, Mexico, now based in California. They rose to prominence in the 1970s with corridos and socially conscious songs, becoming one of the most influential acts in regional Mexican music. Their sound blends traditional norteño with ranchera, banda, and grupera elements, often addressing immigration, crime, and working-class life. Key albums include “Corridos Prohibidos” and “Jefe de Jefes”; they have won multiple Latin Grammy Awards and collaborated with artists such as Calle 13 and Juanes. The group remains active with a large U.S. and Latin American following.
