Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist born September 23, 1949, in Long Branch, New Jersey. He rose to prominence in the 1970s with the E Street Band, releasing the breakthrough album Born to Run in 1975. Known for working-class anthems and marathon live shows, he has released over 20 studio albums spanning heartland rock, folk, and Americana. Major works include Darkness on the Edge of Town, Born in the U.S.A., and The Rising. He has won 20 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. Springsteen remains active with extensive touring and new releases into the 2020s.
