The Emotions are an American vocal group from Chicago formed in the late 1960s by sisters Sheila, Wanda, and Jeanette Hutchinson. Emerging from the gospel scene, they signed with Stax Records and later Columbia, achieving mainstream success with their blend of soul, disco, and R&B. Their 1977 hit "Best of My Love" topped the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy. They collaborated with Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire on several albums and continued recording into the 1980s.
