She rose to fame with her lead role as Nini Salazar-Roberts on the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series before launching her music career. Her 2021 debut single "drivers license" topped the Billboard Hot 100 and her album Sour became a global commercial and critical success. Follow-up album Guts (2023) further solidified her status with hits like "vampire" and "bad idea right?". Rodrigo blends pop, rock, and alternative influences with confessional songwriting and powerful vocals. She has collaborated with producers Dan Nigro and received multiple Grammy Awards.
