Tory Lanez

Tory Lanez is a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter born Daystar Peterson in Toronto, Ontario. He began releasing music independently in the early 2010s, gaining attention with mixtapes such as Conflicts of My Soul and Chixtape before signing with Mad Love/Interscope. His breakthrough came with the 2016 album I Told You, which debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and produced the hit single “Luv.” Lanez is known for blending melodic R&B with trap-influenced hip-hop, often self-producing and handling multiple roles in his recordings. Subsequent projects include Memories Don’t Die, Chixtape 5, and the 2020 album DAYSTAR. He has collaborated with artists including Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown, and Rich the Kid.
