The Bones of J.R. Jones

Jonathon Linaberry, performing as The Bones of J.R. Jones, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from upstate New York. He began releasing music in the early 2010s, building a reputation with raw, blues-infused Americana that blends slide guitar, harmonica, and foot percussion. His breakthrough came with the 2016 album "Spirit’s in the Water," followed by "Last of the Bones" (2018) and "A Celebration" (2021). He has toured extensively across North America and Europe, often performing solo or as a duo, and is known for his gritty, live-looping stage shows. His sound draws from Delta blues, folk, and gospel traditions while maintaining a modern indie edge.
