Joey Yung is a Hong Kong Cantopop singer and actress who rose to prominence after winning the 1999 New Talent Singing Awards. She signed with EEG and released her debut album in 2000, quickly becoming one of the territory’s leading female vocalists. Known for her powerful voice and emotive ballads, she has released more than twenty studio albums and earned multiple Jade Solid Gold and RTHK Top Ten awards. Her sound spans contemporary Cantopop, pop ballads, and occasional dance tracks, often collaborating with producers such as Mark Lui and composers like Chan Fai Young. Notable projects include the 2003 album “My Pride,” the 2014 Mandarin release “Little Little,” and the long-running concert residency “JOEY ALL STAR.” She remains one of Hong Kong’s most commercially successful and critically respected artists.
