Bruno Leonardo Gelber

Bruno Leonardo Gelber is an Argentine classical pianist born in Buenos Aires in 1941. He studied with Bebé Herrera, Vicente Scaramuzza and Bruno Seidler-Winkler before moving to Europe, where he won the 1960 Geneva International Music Competition. Gelber has performed with major orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestra, and recorded extensively for labels such as Deutsche Grammophon and EMI. His repertoire spans the great Romantic and Classical piano literature, with particular acclaim for his Beethoven, Chopin and Schumann interpretations. He has maintained an active international career for over six decades and remains one of Argentina’s most distinguished pianists.
