Billy Squier is an American rock singer-songwriter and guitarist from Wellesley, Massachusetts. He rose to prominence in the early 1980s with a string of arena-rock hits including "The Stroke," "In the Dark," and "Everybody Wants You." His sound blends hard rock, blues rock, and pop sensibilities, characterized by strong guitar riffs and anthemic choruses. Squier released several platinum albums on Capitol Records, most notably Don't Say No (1981) and Emotions in Motion (1982). He collaborated with producers such as Reinhold Mack and worked with musicians including members of Queen and Def Leppard. His later career included independent releases and continued touring into the 2000s.
