Eduardo Hernández Saucedo, known professionally as Ed Maverick, is a Mexican singer-songwriter from La Joya, Durango. He rose to prominence in 2018 with his self-released bedroom recordings that blended indie folk, lo-fi production, and introspective Spanish-language lyrics. His breakthrough single “Acurrucar” and debut album “Mix Pa’ Llevar” established him as a leading voice in Mexico’s new indie generation. Maverick’s sound fuses Latin folk, indie rock, and subtle electronic textures, often exploring themes of youth, heartbreak, and rural life. He has collaborated with artists such as Bratty, C. Tangana, and Kevin Kaarl, and released projects on independent labels before signing with Warner Music México. His 2021 album “Eduardo” further expanded his audience across Latin America.
