Jesús Manuel Nieves Cortés, known professionally as Jhayco, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton singer, rapper, and producer from San Juan. He began his career as Jhay Cortez and gained early recognition for his songwriting and production work before stepping into the spotlight as a lead artist. His 2019 single “No Me Conoce” with J Balvin and Bad Bunny became a global hit, establishing him as a key figure in modern Latin urban music. Jhayco’s sound blends reggaeton, Latin trap, and melodic R&B with crisp production and introspective lyrics. He released his debut album Famouz in 2019 and followed with Timelezz in 2021, both featuring high-profile collaborations with artists like Anuel AA, Myke Towers, and Karol G. His work has earned multiple Latin Grammy nominations and solidified his reputation as one of reggaeton’s most versatile talents.
