About
The Chemical Brothers are a British electronic music duo formed in Manchester in 1992 by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons. They rose to prominence in the mid-1990s with their influential big beat sound, blending breakbeats, rock samples, and psychedelic textures. Their debut album Exit Planet Dust (1995) and follow-up Dig Your Own Hole (1997) established them as festival headliners, with the latter featuring the UK number-one single "Block Rockin' Beats." Subsequent releases such as Surrender (1999) and Push the Button (2005) earned multiple Grammy Awards for Best Electronic/Dance Album. The duo has collaborated with vocalists including Noel Gallagher, Q-Tip, and St. Vincent, and continues to release music and perform live worldwide.
