Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival was an American rock band formed in El Cerrito, California, in 1967 by John Fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook, and Doug Clifford. Emerging from the Bay Area scene, they became one of the defining acts of swamp rock and roots rock during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Their concise, riff-driven songs blended country, blues, and southern rock with a distinctive gritty edge. CCR released seven studio albums in five years, scoring hits such as "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Fortunate Son," and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" Their music captured the era’s social tensions and remains a staple of classic rock radio. The band dissolved in 1972 amid internal disputes, but their catalog continues to influence generations of musicians.
